Summary of Enheduana

This article talks about a lady that was the first writer in the world. Her father Sargon was the king of Akkad. She had two brothers; they were twins and they wanted to rule like their father. Enheduana one day goes to speak whit her dad and the dad proposes to her to do a job as a priestess. She said yes. Her duties were to organize religious events and offer prayers.  She is considered to be the best selling author of poetry. When the father died one of the two brothers started ruling and soon after the second brother started to rule and also died. Then, the next person was the Enheduana’s nephew. The nephew kicked Enheduana out and she lost her job. She was the best writer in those days and she was the first woman to be doing men’s job. The archeologists found 50 tablets with the same poem which indicates that many people were reading her poems.
